EN ISO 3834

Welding processes are used in various industries. In engineering (vehicles, agricultural equipment, pressure vessels,...), in construction (steel structures, bridges,...) and partly in other industries (eg metallurgy, energy, manufacturing). The quality of the welding processes cannot be easily verified, therefore, they are considered as special processes, as stated by ISO 9001. A series of standards ISO 3834 does not replace ISO 9001, but it is a tool to use for the welding process. Emphasis is placed on the qualifications of the staff, equipment used, procedures and records of welding.

A series of standards ISO 3834 provides guidance on the establishment and maintenance of a functioning quality management system of fusion welding of metallic materials.Certification is carried out jointly with ISO 9001 The certified organization shall be entitled to use the certified certification mark.
